We’re Going on a Bear hunt!

This week in toddler room we started our new Fantasy and Fiction topic. For this we focused on a very popular book in the room, “We’re going on a bear hunt”. To do this we went on our very own bear hunt in the big garden. We focused on our physical development trying out moving in different ways focusing on using large and small movements as we did so. We used binoculars to hunt for our bears using our creative thinking skills to search in different places for our bears taking great pride when we found them. WE counted how many bears we could find and had so much fun we repeated the activity! TO extend our bear hunt we made a texture tuft tray following the story sequence using the book to match these to the story. We moved the characters around the different textures helping us explore with our senses and develop our fine motor skills. Well done toddlers what a great week of learning and exploring our literacy skills.
