Trip to the Hackney Museum
On Tuesday Preschool went to the Hackney museum, We walked through Dalston market to the train station and rode one stop, taking in a lot of the sights, sounds and smells around us. We rode the train for one stop and got off at Hackney central and did more amazing walking round to the museum, once at the museum we explored different exhibits that was in the museum, there was a bus which was a firm favourite, the children got to dress up as conductors! Moving through the museum there was a wooden boat that the Anglo Saxons used to ride in which we sat in. We then discovered an old style overground map which shows all the overground stops, it came with a model train track that the children could interact with. There were other exhibits like the hair dressing salon, an old style kitchen, and an area which educated us on some history, looking at fossils and learning about some extinct animals.
Well done Pre-school for being so observant and respectful of the different exhibits, it was so lovely to see the awe and wonder through your eyes!
