Throughout January our curriculum focused topic is Transport. The children have thoroughly enjoyed a range of activities learning about different forms of transport and transport from around the world. 

So far for the Transport topic the children have enjoyed a real life experience of a visit to the local train station and were thrilled during their real life train ride. The children had the learning opportunity to use real life ICT when exploring the ticket machines, as well as meeting the train station workers. 

We extended this further through the seven areas of learning and development by incorporating a Mathematical and Literacy road tally experience. The children were excited to take along their own clipboards and tally sheet to observe the traffic including the vehicle colours, how many cars they see. during this local outing the children also met the  lollipop person at work and an electronic car charging point.
