Toddler’s Surgery

This week in toddler room we continued our People who help us topic by exploring how people help take care of us and our pets. Our first activity looked at doctors and how they help make us better. We took part in some Dr role play where we took turns in being the dr and the patient. We role played different needs we might have like temperature and broken arms or legs. We used our role play tools to bandage our friends and take their temperature. We also listened to their heartbeat and checked their ears. This was a lovely was for us to show kindness and care for one another while taking part in some fun role play. We then extended this by becoming vets and taking the same approach with animals and pets. We used the previous things we have learned and adapted this to the role play with teddies and our vet set. To further extend this we created our own x ray collages using cotton buds. We used our fine motor skills to place the cotton buds where we wanted. Well done toddlers what lovely role playing.
