Texture Exploring
This week the babies have been exploring different textures and consistencies and particularly how they can make marks in these using their hands. We wanted the babies to enjoy all sensory aspects of this activity, so we made it taste safe. The babies had the opportunity to explore the wibbly wobbly jelly, the cold custard and the gooey corn flour. The babies rubbed their hands in to feel the consistency and enjoyed trying to scoop up the jelly using their hands. We also introduced the concept of temperature whilst exploring ice and focused on key words such as cold and smooth.
