Summer Time
To start our summer blog we made a soft play sensory beach, we used different resources and textures for the children to explore. The children thoroughly enjoyed using their senses to discover and play. They developed their gross motor skills by climbing in and out of the beach and over the soft play and throwing the balls. They explored risky play by being able to fall back on to the soft play and finding it very funny. They also crinkled the tissue paper to make rustling sounds and enjoyed how it felt in their fingers. The babies communicated with each other using babbling and single words to share their excitement with each other.
To extend this activity the babies did a jelly baff tuff tray with ice scream cones and spoons where they could make their own ice cream for their journey at the beach and used their motor skills to scoop and layer the jelly baff to make their perfect ice cream sundaes.
It was so lovely to watch the babies explore and have their faces light up. Well done babies you explored these activities with so much awe and wonder.
