Spring flower Sensory Pouches
Spring is almost here so we decided to celebrate this by exploring some flowers. We used zip lock bags to create some mess free messy play pouches, this was a great way to engage the children who are not too keen on getting their hands dirty. The babies enjoyed squeezing and pressing the various textures around in the pouches to reveal the hidden flowers. We extended this by adding free flowers to the activity so that the babies could explore them using their sense of smell and touch although their favourite part was picking the petals off the flowers one by one, we then used these petals to create some lovely pieces of artwork for our spring display.
