Splash went the babies

This week in baby room we have been doing lots of splashing. The babies took part in a water play session which is a keen interest of theirs. The babies were given the opportunity to splash, pour, fill and empty containers, we also encouraged some key words that linked to their actions. We added water activated lights, food colouring and lemons to create an even more fun sensory experience. With many of the babies beginning to pull themselves to standing up, this was also a great way to encourage this and aid their physical development. The babies loved this activity, particularly the splashing as they babbled and giggled when the water splashed on their faces. The babies also enjoyed the interactions between themselves and the staff. Good job babies!
