Spanish Ice Cream

This week in toddler room we have shown a great interest in learning Spanish. To do this Chaimae extended our learning from our Spanish specialist teacher sessions through a lovely ice cream activity. For this we focused on numbers and colours. We matched numbers to the scoops of ice cream in a matching activity. While we were matching we repeated the numbers and colours in Spanish. We then extended this by completing an ice cream role play activity. We took what we had learned and counted our scoops in Spanish as we passed the ice cream out to our friends. This was a lovely way for us to extend our sharing and turn taking skills. We then continued to use our Spanish skills by taking part in an ice cream playdough activity. Muy Bien toddlers!
