Space Rocks!

Following on from preschool’s interest in space from last week, the children learned all about space! We read a book all about space and learned what the different planets were called, such as Mars, the red planet and Saturn that has rings around it. The children took what they learned about the planets and made their own using lots of different techniques, such as paper mache and bubble painting to create different textures. One child said “I’m drawing earth, it’s got people on it!” The children also enjoyed making their own rocket and space helmets. They then went on an adventure into space putting on their helmets and sitting on their rocket! The children said they could see aliens in space and lots of stars! Preschool extended on this play by painting their own stars using chalk paint and stampers too! Well done preschool we did an amazing job creating and using our imagination this week!
