To celebrate snake day the toddlers tried different ways of moving like a snake. We then explored a snake themed tuft tray which we added our wild animals too.
For snake day, Preschool played one of their favourite games, “The floor is lava” However instead of avoiding lava they had to avoid the snakes! The children took it in turns to walk across the beam without falling in. They used their balancing skills and gross motor skills to complete the task and were able to get across without falling in! The children also learned about the different types of snakes, such as a tree snake that can jump across different trees using its body.
