Sensory pouches
This week in the baby room we explored lots of different resources in sensory pouches. We used bright colours to engage the babies and used resources such as spaghetti, jelly, shampoo, jelly baff and baby foam to create different textures inside the pouches. This gave us the opportunity to promote some key language such as squeeze, poke, shake and describing to the babies what the pouches felt like. The pouches along with the foil blanket gave the babies a great sensory experience. The babies really liked the pouch with the foam so to extend this we created a large sensory table giving the babies the opportunity to cruise around the table.
