Saving Chocolate Bear

This week in preschool the children went on a mission to help save Marshmallows sibling Chocolate bear from space. We first created a mind map on different ways we could help save Chocolate bear from space. The children used their thinking skills to think about different ways in which we could help and the children gave various of different option in which we could help him. The children then said “we could make a ladder”. We then created a smaller mind map of different ways we could make a ladder and the children suggested different construction materials that we could use. So as a team we decided to use building blocks and mobile to help build a ladder. The children then took part in risky play and we took extra precautions to make sure that they were safe when saving chocolate bear. The children firstly climbed up onto the table and tried to reach to see if they could reach Chocolate bear. Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful so the children used blocks and mobilo to help them build ladders to help reach Chocolate bear. The children worked together to help build the ladders and place it on the table but unfortunately this was still unsuccessful. Then one of the children said “we could use a broom to help get Chocolate bear down”. We then got the broom and hooked it into Chocolate bears space ship and he finally got saved from space and got brought back to earth.
