Save the Animals!

This week in toddler room we explored recycling and how it can help our planet and oceans. For our first activity we explored different recycling materials and which bin they go in. To do this we completed a colour matching activity where we looked for different objects and matched the colour on the object to the correct bin. To extend this we then took part in a role play activity where we became rubbish collectors. We wore high visibility jackets and uses brushes to sweep around the room collecting all of the rubbish and sorting them into the correct bins. This helped us link our own experiences from home and what we have seen in our local area. For our last activity we learned how important recycling and disposing of our rubbish correctly is to our sea animals and oceans. We did this through saving the tangled animals from a tuft tray. We used our motor skills to untangle the net and feed the animals from the bottles and tubes that were in the tray. Well done toddlers what a great week!
