Room on the Broom

This week in baby room we introduced our new topic Fantasy and Fiction by looking at the story ‘The Room on the Broom’. The children first enjoyed listening to the story and enjoyed making the noises of the cats and dogs in the book. The children then made their own broomsticks out of spaghetti. We dipped our broomsticks into the paint and made a beautiful masterpiece. We used different colours and mixed colours together to create new colours. We then extended this activity by making our own tuff tray with the different characters. The children enjoyed looking at the characters from the book and enjoyed picking up the different characters. The children also enjoyed using their hand and eye co-ordination to mix the potion together.
