To take part in Remembrance Day the babies made their own poppy reefs. We used black and red materials to decorate the circular shape. We explored with our gross and fine motor skills pinching and patting the materials as we stuck them down.
The Toddler room used paint and cotton buds to make marks on their poppies, whilst preschool room made their remembrance poster decorated with poppies.
Preschool room also made use of the touch and tilt table to learn about WW1 and were particularly fascinated with the planes and pilots.
All rooms had time to visit and observe the war memorial on Shacklewell Green, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the monument and learning about its history. we also took along all of the artwork we had created through the week to display.
