Purim

Purim
On Tuesday toddler room enjoyed learning about the Jewish festival ‘Purim’. The children enjoyed listening to the story at circle time about Queen Esther and enjoyed looking at how the festival is celebrated. The children then enjoyed using ICT Equipment to choose their own recipe to make hamantaschen biscuits. The children enjoyed making the triangle shape and then filling it with jam in the middle. The children used their fine motor skills to scoop the jam up and then place it into the middle.

To celebrate Purim in baby room we had our very own Masquerade party. We decorated our masks with a variety of colourful collage materials We then went to the sensory room and had our party. We danced to traditional music with our masks and lots of colourful scarves. A very special thank you to Ilai and his parents for bringing in some small Purim baskets that Ilai shared with all of his friends.

Preschool room enjoyed learning about the Jewish festival Purim. We used the touch and tilt and learned about the different traditions of the festival. Preschool chose their own coloured card to make a crown and used pens and paint dabbers to decorate them! We put on traditional music to celebrate and had a party with our crowns! Preschool had a lot of fun learning and celebrating Purim!
