Potions
This week in toddler room we made some magic potions to prepare for Halloween. We used utensils to mix and pour our potion into the different sized cauldrons. As we mixed we used lots of mathematical language like “more”, “big” and “small”. We also enjoyed making up our own magic words. The most popular was “iggity, ziggety, zaggetty, zoom!!” To extend this activity and continue our Halloween preparations we made some spooky pictures. We used stencils and cutters in paint to create, ghosts, pumpkins and witches hats using green, orange and black paint. We really enjoyed being creative and testing our ideas to see if we could create some different shapes by mixing the prints together. Lastly we all enjoyed using props to dance along to some spooky Halloween music where we pretended to be monsters and ghosts playing peekaboo with friends. Well done toddlers what “spooky” fun we all had.
