Potion Day
In baby room we enjoyed playing and making our own potions with flowers , different coloured water and lemons. We enjoyed mixing it all together and enjoyed using our senses to explore all the different textures. We used the wooden spoons to mix everything together and explored all the different materials. We used the jugs and the spoons to fill up the colourful water and then tip it out and enjoyed mixing the water really fast to create bubbles.
Well done babies for making amazing potions.
In toddler room we created some magical potions by mixing different materials together to create something new. We used test tubes and jugs to fill and pour colourful rice and oats together. We also used our fine motor skills to pinch and sprinkle the rainbow rice into different sized containers.
In preschool for potions day we used the larger tuft tray to create our potion concoctions. We added a variety of different resources and materials like bugs in a jar, shaving foam and spaghetti. We added wooden spoons and cauldrons so that we could mix, stir and utter the magic spell “ Abra Cadabra! The children thoroughly engaged in this activity and had so much fun.
