Post Office
This week to continue our topic of ‘people who help us’ the toddlers have been learning about the role of a post office worker. Firstly the toddlers enjoyed making their own post boxes out of empty glove boxes. The children looked at images of post boxes and then created their own. They used their fine motor skills to paint the gloves boxes and enjoyed painting the boxes. Secondly the children enjoyed making their own letters. The children enjoyed selecting their own mark making tools and then enjoyed making marks onto their paper to create their own letters. The children then got the experience to visit the post office. The children enjoyed looking at the role of what a postal worker does an a day to day basis. The children enjoyed looking at the pamphlets and looking at the signs in the post office.
