Passover
This Friday Preschool learned about the Jewish festival of Passover, which is celebrated in spring. The children learned that they have a special meal called Seder. They also eat bread called Matzah. They celebrated Passover by visiting a local Jewish bakery. The children looked at all the tasty treats that the bakery had to offer and asked the lovely shopkeeper which bread we should get. Unfortunately they didn’t have any Matzah bread, so the shopkeeper showed us some Chola bread which came in two different shapes, a loaf and a plaited design. We picked up one of each to share with each other. The children tried some of the bread for snack and said it was very delicious! The children also voted which shaped bread they liked more.
