Learning about our features

To start off our new topic ‘All about me’ the babies had the opportunity to have a look at themselves in the different shaped mirrors, they also had the opportunity to recognise themselves in the mirror, we showed them where all their facial features were and that some of us may have different coloured eyes, hair etc. Babies then got the chance to explore the different coloured skin tone paints and they were able to make their own self-portraits. The babies then began to smother their hands in the paint and make different marks on the coloured paper they were given. The babies did need a little bit of assistance to create their beautiful portraits, but nevertheless they were amazing self-portraits.
