Mathematical Exploration 

This week in the toddler room we explored our mathematical skills and learning through Duplo printing and washing. We went out into big garden and created lots of shapes and patterns using Duplo and paint on large pieces of card that we recycled. We worked on creating shapes and pictures through sequencing and stacking and observed different ways we could create new shapes and colours. This ended up creating a beautiful work of art that we could all be proud of. To further extend this activity we explored depth and measure to continue our mathematical learning by washing the Duplo in bubbly water. We used brushes and jugs to help clean the Duplo working really hard on fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Well done toddlers what great mathematical exploring and team work.
