Making Special Reindeer food!

This week to finish our topic of winter, we decided to take on the task of making some reindeer food. The children enjoyed getting the different items needed to help make the reindeer food. We first went on the internet and used our ICT skills to look up reindeers and then printed them out. We then placed the reindeers into the tray. The children then said “we need to add some food?” The children then asked questions “what should we add in the tray to make food?” One child then said “oats”. We then added oats into the tray and the children then used scoops and tongs to fill up the jars. The children then added pom-poms to the tray to extend their play idea and enjoyed using the tongs to fill up the jars. We also used cinnamon to explore our senses and enjoyed smelling the very Christmassy scent!
