Magical reading session

This week in preschool, we focused on mythical creatures! The children started by making their own fairies, using photos and some of their happy land dolls as a reference. The children used a variety of colour to create their fairy puppets whilst listening to some magical fairy land music! The children then made their mushroom fairy houses for the fairies. The used a paper plates and some carboard to create the shape and then used their paint dabbers to make the spots on the top. The children also made unicorns! They used their fine motor skills to add ribbons and strings to create the hair. We then created a cosy corner in the room, using fairy lights and a canopy. The children used all the props they had made during the week and created their own story! We also read lots of stories about fairies and unicorns! The children loved telling their own stories and loved using their props!
