International Woman's Day

On Monday the children throughout the nursery celebrated International woman's day. In the toddler room the children learned about our voting and how the Suffragettes campained and fought for woman's right to vote. The children then took part in their own voting activity. They made marks on paper using pencils and crayons and practiced folding the paper to post into out "Ballot boxes". The children really enjoyed creating different marks and designs and navigating their hand eye coordination to post their paper. Great job toddlers! In the preschool room the children all took part in a a discussion about woman that are important to them. They then drew their own portraits of their special ladies and enjoyed sharing them with their friends during a special show and tell session.
