International Woman’s Day
To celebrate international woman’s day in baby room we learned about four women who changed history for women, Marie Curie, Mae Jemison, Malala Yousafzai and Anne Frank. We role played in our tray things that each of these woman did that changed history. We experimented like Marie Curie, we took our rocket ship to space like Mae Jemison, We wrote in our diaries like Anne Frank and we role played with play people sending them to school like Malala Yousafzai.
In preschool we celebrated National Women’s Day by learning about different inspirational women from around the world and the inspiring things they did, like inventing medicines, excelling in sciences and being the first women in space. We then spoke about the people who inspire us every day a lot of the children said their mummy’s daddy’s and grandparents. They said these people inspire them by the way they love and look after us. Some of them even went into more depth and said how they look after others or teach people and help us learn. After this a group of the children was keen to make cards for the special people in their lives! Using different crafts and stationary to make their beautiful cards.
