ICT Animal Research Project
This week the pre-school room explored animals from around the world using various different ICT experiences. We started off by using the touch and tilt to learn about where different animals come from around the world learning about the different continents too. We then used the touch and tilt to recreate a largescale map.
Once this was done, we used the tablets and laptops to do our own research on our favourite animals, we learned how to be safe using the internet and searched google images with our adults to find the perfect image for us to recreate. Once we had finished our drawings we used the our own knowledge and research to write up our favourite facts about our favourite animals, as you can see our writing skills are amazing!
We then used the lightboard to trace the 7 animals of the different continents, We had so much fun tracing it and colouring it in our own colours! We learned more about the pincer grip and how it helps our pencil control. To bring it full circle we put it up on the wall and brought all of our knowledge together using string and bluetack to pinpoint where all of our fabulous animal drawings came from around the world!
The children loved using all of the different ICT resources to gain the most out of this learning experience.
