On Thursday all of the children celebrated the Hindu festival of colour Holi. In the baby room the children explored colour through exploring paint. They were able to create beautiful pictures and marks using paint brushes and their hands and fingers. Through this they explored colour mixing and patterns while working hard on their motor skills. In the toddler room the children were able to explore colour through our own version of powder paint using paint and flour. The children were able to work on their gross motor skills through throwing the flour around the tray and creating their own patterns using their hands and fingers. In the preschool room Holi was celebrated by everyone coming together to create their own rainbow. The children were able to choose their colour and painted their hands to create their rainbow. Great job everyone!
