Exploring Prints and marks

This week in the toddler room we had a very creative week. We explored our interest of painting and creating different marks. To do this we used a variety of materials with paints. For our first activity we did some bubble painting. Before this activity we discussed the health and safety issues of using the straws with the paint mixture. We practiced blowing with the straws then watched Masiha demonstrate how to make bubbles. We all took turns blowing and creating lots of bubbles in the paint. We then used card to pop the bubbles to create prints. We loves the shapes and colours we made. To further extend this we then found different things to put in paint. We found some animals and made marks with their footprints. We dipped string and wavy paper in the paint and printed with them. We loved exploring the different materials and making some lovely art work for our display. Well done toddlers!
