Exploring Light

This week in the toddler room we continued our light and dark topic by exploring light. To do this we used a variety of ICT resources in the sensory room. First, we explored the different lights and colours of the noise strip and mirror lights in the sensory room. We tested how many of the lights we could turn on by creating different sounds. We had to be very loud to make the whole strip look like a rainbow! Next, we explored torches with magnetic tiles. We tested the effects that the torches had on the shapes and watched how the light and colour changed. To extend this further we added the light table and blocks. We really loved seeing the effects of the changing colours of the table on the tiles and creating different structures to test the effects of the lights. Well done toddlers you all did great testing of your ideas to learn something new!
