Detective toddlers
This week in toddler room we became detectives and solved the crime of who made the mess in the Three Bears cottage! Our first case was looking for clues in the three bear’s porridge. We used magnifying glasses and tweezers to look for clues and put them in our evidence box. We found some hair in the porridge! The tweezers really helped us strengthen our motor skills. We also enjoyed exploring the messy porridge tray and helping the three bears fill their bowls further exploring mathematical skills and problem solving. We then moved on to the case of baby bears broken chair. We used our mark making skills to take notes and draw plans on what happened in this scene. We explored the shapes and bricks and helped to try and build baby bear’s chair. In this area we were able to explore our math’s and literacy skills and learning and explore different ways we can manipulate shape. For our last case we explored the messy bedroom where we found Goldilocks and our babies! They were hiding in baby bear’s bed. We explored varied materials in this area and role played with goldilocks and our babies. We made up the beds and tucked everyone in linking our own experiences from home. Well done toddlers great exploring and looking for clues in the different areas!
