Dear Zoo

This week in baby room, we finished off our topic of fantasy and fiction. The babies really enjoyed looking at the book ‘dear zoo’. Firstly, we created a tuff tray with all the different zoo animals and we all enjoyed looking and listening to the story. The babies also had the opportunity to identify some of the different animals in the tray. They had fun looking at the animals and making the different noises by copying and imitating the staff. We then extended this activity by making the different animal prints by using some of the animals from the book and some paint, the babies used their fine motor skills to choose one of the animals and a colour of their choice to create different animal footprints of the paper.
