Colourful hands
This week in baby room, the babies have been exploring ice and different ways they could be creative with it. Firstly, we added a few colourful pompoms to our gloves and then filled them up with water and froze them overnight. Once they were frozen we took them out the freezer and placed the hands in the tray with a few watercolour paints and paintbrushes. The babies used their fine motor skills to make marks on the hands and also swish the paintbrush around in the paint. The babies enjoyed making marks and getting messy which was everyone’s favourite part of the activity. During this activity, the babies also had the opportunity to be super creative and they also got to experience the different temperatures and textures. We also used key words such as: cold, ice, brush and water.
Well done babies!
