Decorating the Christmas tree

This week in the toddler room we continued our winter activities by taking part in some Christmas themed activities. We started by exploring a heuristic Christmas tray. We decorated our small Christmas tree with lots of different materials. We loved exploring the sparkly tinsel and colorful baubles. We took pride in placing the decorations on the tree. The colorful beads made some noises as we shook them and moved them along the floor. This helped us explore using our motor skills and hand eye coordination. To extend this we created our own hand print Christmas tree where we made shapes and prints by dipping our hands in green paint. Once we were happy with our Christmas tree shape we then used our fingers to create baubles and lights on the tree. Well done toddlers what a lovely week.
