This week in the baby room we started exploring and learning about Christmas. We used our ICT skills to explore the touch and tilt table. We were able to select our own Christmas themed photo teaching us the cause-and-effect aspect of using or fine motor skills on the screen. Once we had chosen our picture, we then explored making marks on the screen. We explored, colour and shape as we used our hands and fingers to create beautiful marks and drawings on the computer.

To continue this theme, we then explored lots of colourful Christmas decorations and explored putting them on our little tree. We really enjoyed exploring the different textures and examining the tree. We used our hand eye coordination to try and hang the baubles and beads on the tree and extended our use of our gross and fine motor skills as we grabbed and pinched the different accessories.
