Children in Need
To help raise money for children in need the toddlers did some baking. With Sharon’s help we made some lovely biscuits. We rolled out the dough and used different cutters to create the shape of our biscuits. Through this we were able to work on our fine motor skills. We also made some delicious rice crispy cakes. We mixed the rice crispies into melted chocolate and were able to scoop our mixture into cake cases.
In baby room the babies made some delicious biscuits to help raise money for children in need. The babies used their fine motor skills to help roll out the dough and press a few different shaped cutters to make their lovely biscuits. The babies also had the opportunity to help decorate some yummy cupcakes.
In the preschool room we used brightly coloured paint and circular objects on largescale paper to make a Pudsey style banner for our bake sale. We also made cookies, using cookie cutters to cut out beautiful cookies in Pudsey shapes and stars and decorated them with different sprinkles and chocolate buttons. Lastly we coloured in Pudsey pictures with bright colour dabber pen. During these activities it was discussed how some children could be in need and what the charity was about, asking the children how they would feel in certain scenarios and giving them a bigger insight.
