This week in baby room, to end our topic ‘people who help us’ we looked at builders and what they do. First we created edible sand using cereal and mud using coloured oats and used our hands to scoop the building materials into our digger and tipper trucks. This enabled the babies to explore two different textures as they sprinkled the dry sand and squeezed the sticky mud. To extend this the babies transformed into builders for the day. They all enjoyed dressing up and exploring the different types of tools builders use.
