Becoming Doctors
This week in toddler room the children have been enjoying learning about the role of being a doctor. The children explored the different tools and medical equipment that are used in a doctor’s surgery. The children enjoyed signing the familiar song ‘Miss Polly had a dolly’ and enjoyed singing the song well. The children then enjoyed looking after the babies giving the baby the medicine and using the stethoscope to check the baby. The children enjoyed looking after the baby so well and then said “all better”. The children then enjoyed looking at the different bandages used and then placed it on to the baby. We then extended the activity by getting the children to demonstrate it onto each other. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking after their peers and to be doctors on one another. The children then lastly extended the activity by making their own x-rays.
Well done toddlers for being such good doctors.
