Beautiful Flowers

This week in toddler room we have been exploring flowers. We have had lots of discussions about the different types of flowers we have seen on our travels to and from nursery. Some of us talked about flowers we have had in our house. To begin with we created our own plant pots using different mark making materials. We were able to be creative and choose how our pots were going to be. Next we went on a flower hunt around big garden to find some flowers for our pots. We then continued to practice our cutting and hand eye coordination skills. By using scissors to cut them down to size and then thread them through card to add to our flower pots. We then added them to our display board for everyone to see. We further extended this by creating some beautiful collages working on our fine motor skill to pinch, pat and sprinkle petals and leaves on our pictures. Great job toddlers your creations look wonderful on the display board.
