Autumn Soup 

 To finish off our topic of Autumn the children made their own vegetable soup. We first watched a video of how we need to make the vegetable soup and what ingredients we needed. The children then looked at the different vegetables that was placed in front of them. The children used their fine motor skills to chop up the different vegetables and place it into their bowl. The children explored different textures of the vegetable when cutting it up. The children used words such as “hard”, “soft” to describe the vegetables. We then also watched how the stock cube dissolves in water. The children enjoyed mixing it all up and then saying it’s “all gone”. 

We then sent the soup to the kitchen to let it cook. 

Once the soup was cooked the children enjoyed it for their tea and enjoyed having it with their friends. 

The children said the soup was “yummy.”
