Autumn Sensory Bottles
This week in toddler room we continued our Autumn topic by creating our own Autumn sensory bottles. To begin with we made a tuft tray with all the Autumn materials we have collected over the week. We made an orange and green rice tray and added our materials to it. We practiced using our fine motor skills by using tweezers to pick up the rice and put it into our bottles. We then chose lots of different objects to add with the coloured rice. We added some small pine cones and leaves then shook the bottles to listen to the sound it made. To further extend this we created some Autumn collages for our display board using all the different Autumn materials that we collected on our walk. We added scissors to this to practice our hand and finger control and learn new ways to explore. We also explored leaf rubbing with crayons and really enjoyed looking at the shapes and patterns this created.
