Autumn Painting

This week in toddler room the children have been exploring different autumn leaves. The children went on an autumn leaf hunt in the garden and explored and picked up different leaves and identified different coloured leaves as they were picking it up. We then brought the leaves inside and set up an autumn painting table, the children then enjoyed picking the different autumn colours and placed them onto the tray. The children examined the leaves and used their fine motor skills to dip the leaves into the paint and then picked it up and printed it onto their paper. The children identified the different colours ‘green leaf!’ one child shouted, we then spoke about the different sizes and shapes of some off the leaves.
