Antarctic winter exploration
This week the babies started their new Winter topic. To begin with we completed some winter themed paintings for our new display board. We used toothbrushes to dab and make marks on paper to create a winter snowstorm. This helped develop our fine motor skills and our creative thinking. We then explored an Antarctic winter tuft tray with jelly baff snow that we really enjoyed squeezing in our hands and pouring with metal and wooden utensils. We made patterns and shapes with penguins, polar bears and a walrus. To finish off our winter expedition we used shiny silver paper to make it snow over our arctic land.
