Animals from Asia
This week in the toddler room we explored animals from the Asia continent. We listened to a story called “Doris the Loris”. Throughout this story we were introduced to different animals from Asia. We used the computer to look at all of the different animals that we had never heard of before. Animals like a gibbon and a pangolin. We really enjoyed looking at the different features of these animals and comparing them to ones we already knew e.g. A gibbon is a monkey. To extend this further we created a tuft tray filled with different textures for grass and we added leaves, bamboo sticks and plants. We really enjoyed using our imaginations to interact and play with the animals in the tray. We really liked the pandas. To further extend our interest we then created some beautiful panda paintings. We used different sponges to create the pandas round bodies. Well done toddlers what a great week of learning.
