Africa Day

Preschool got practical with Africa day starting off with painting some lions and zebras using a fork to enhance creativity and differences in their design, whilst exploring this topic. They worked so well as a group, helping each other reach the goal and comparing each of their own paintings to one another. Afterwards, we played some African cultured music, where the children took out some of their own instruments too and began dancing in relation, filling the room with vibration. They enjoyed this moment very much and expressed so much excitement together.

To explore and learn about Africa day in the toddler room we learned about the different animals that live in the Africa continent. We then explored books based on these animals and created prints using paint. We really enjoyed making lots of foot prints and tracks with the animals. We then listened to some traditional African music which we sang and danced along too with our cultural instruments.
