A trip to the beach

This week in baby room we enjoyed going on a trip to the beach. The babies enjoyed their edible beach tray and enjoyed exploring the different textures. We blended up cereal to make a sandy texture for the babies to explore the sandy textures, and then we made the sea by mixing corn flour and blue food coloring together. We used our imaginations to pretend to see the sea animals swimming in the ocean and enjoyed playing with the play people making them stamp around the beach.

We then extended this activity by pretending to be at the beach. We got ready to go to the beach by placing our sun hats on and applying our sun cream. We then enjoyed relaxing on our sunbeds and enjoyed eating our yummy ice-cream. We enjoyed splashing our feet in the water to help us cool down.
