Lisa is an enthusiastic and passionate Manager with a wealth of experience in early years settings. Lisa qualified in 2014. Lisa joined us at Queens Nursery having already been a Deputy Manager elsewhere. Lisa rose to the role of Senior Deputy at Queens Nursery,  before becoming Manager at Independent Place. Lisa is qualified to Level 3 and amongst her other qualifications, she is Makaton trained. Lisa has an exceptionally sound knowledge of development with ages 3 months to 5 years and puts this into practice on a daily basis. Lisa’s passions are early years learning and Parent Partnership. Lisa mentors her team, ensuring that everyone works together to achieve the very best outcomes for all children. Lisa achieves this by providing the highest quality of learning experience for the children and developing outstanding and inclusive relationships with parents. 

Semiha is a highly experienced and motivated Senior Deputy Manager. Semiha achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in 2003, has a Team Leadership Certificate Level 2 and has also undertaken training in managing safely. Semiha has worked in both private and local authority Nurseries across the age range at Nursery.  Semiha is dedicated to providing exceptional activity ideas for all ages in the Nursery using her breadth of knowledge, understanding and research. Semiha is supernumerary in Nursery, so is able to support and mentor the team across the setting, which brings huge benefit to the children and supports extending learning activities, whilst following the children’s interests.

Claire joined Independent Place Nursery in 2016 and had risen up to a more senior role as Toddler Room Leader and third in charge of the Nursery. Claire achieved an HNC childcare and education qualification relevant In the early years sector in 2007. Claire’s experience includes working with all of our age groups, including leading the Baby, Toddler and Pre-School Rooms. Claire's care and passion shine through in her work and she has a strong commitment to ensure outstanding relationships with all members of the Nursery Community. Claire’s additional training enables her to lead in Special Needs and she is passionate about this role in and early intervention at Nursery.

Lisa our long serving Chef started at Nursery in 2001. Lisa has been with us since then, other than a 5 year break. Lisa's outstanding skills in the kitchen means delicious organic food, excellent portion control and always achieving the 5* Food Hygiene award when inspected. Lisa loves her role and knowing the children really enjoy their meals and are benefitting from outstanding nutrition every day. Lisa loves to see children develop and grown within the Nursery meeting new milestones, especially when babies have their first toddler meal. Lisa's menu includes tastes and textures from around the world in a 3 week rotating menu overseen by our child Nutritionalist.
