Lions used the ICT writing pads, where they were able to choose the colour screen they wanted to have on their board. They were recognising their numbers up to 10 and attempting to write them or even draw around the numbers, showing good hand and eye coordination skills. Developing hand eye coordination is about helping children to use their eyes to guide the hands in movements.
The EYFS says that mathematics involves providing children with opportunities to develop and improve their skills in counting, understanding and using numbers, calculating simple addition and subtraction problems, and to describe shapes, spaces and measure.
