Lions have enjoyed watching the leaves falling off the tree in the nursery garden and the children have been helping us to sweep them up. Today the children decided they wanted them in the tuff tray's where they could explore them more. The children learned what the colours they could see, how they felt. The staff carried on the children's curiosity of the falling leaves with a story.
Leaf play provides opportunities for language development, fine motor development, and creative dramatic play. Not to mention the hours of fun!
